2010 Hurst Mustang Pace Car unveiled at Virginia raceway

The 2010 Hurst Mustang Pace Car made its first official release at the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge race that was held at Virginia International Raceway on April 25, 2010. There will only be one 2010 Hurst Mustang Pace Car, and it was built by Hurst Performance Vehicles, a company responsible for some of the most iconic pace cars in racing history. After its debut at the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge, the only-one and highly-collectible 2010 Hurst Mustang Pace Car will make special appearances at the Hot Rod Power Tour, at numerous Larry H. Miller dealerships across the country and even at SEMA, before being auctioned for charity in January 2011.

The 2010 Hurst Mustang Pace car comes with a supercharged V8 engine that produces 550 horsepower and 542 lb-ft of torque. Hurst uses Ford Racing FR500S stainless-steel cat-back exhaust and K&N filter to release the powerful exhaust from the V8. To keep speed at bay, Ford Racing suspension was installed with stopping power from the Ford Racing 14″ rotors and 4-piston calipers.

The Hurst Mustang Pace Car is painted with the Hurst’s iconic black and gold color scheme, and rolls on polished 20-inch wheels with BFGoodrich tires. Other Hurst’s signature features include a Hurst leather interior with contrast top-stitching and embroidered logos, Hurst-logoed floor mats and a Hurst AIR-SPEED rear deck spoiler.

If you want to get this collectible, be prepared to bring a big check book to the auction house on January 2011.
